Depository module The Depository module supports the management of physical securities deposited for safekeeping, the management of physical and dematerialised securities held on accounts, the transformation, and the invalidation and destruction of physical and dematerialised securities. The Depository module communicates with the Vault module and with the securities account records. Vault module The function of the Vault module is to record and process stored physical securities, to receive, book and query vault deposit receipts, to prepare lists, and to perform inventory reconciliation and inventory compilations. The purpose of the processing is to record, store, and query physical securities on a fungible and non-fungible basis. The Vault module communicates with the Depository module and the Securities Account Management module. The physical securities stored in the vault appear on a securities account as well as in the vault records. The modules of the Depository and Vault applications connect to other internal and external applications via a standardised interface. The Depository and Vault applications form a modular system with a client-server architecture and a user-friendly graphical interface, and can be flexibly developed to suit a wide range of user requirements. The protection of the systems in terms of access and authorisation is ensured on multiple levels, partly by leveraging the opportunities offered by the applied technologies and partly by utilising the supplied application-level protection devices.
