The OPEN Standing Data system performs standard data record-keeping, thus serving the processing systems to which it is connected, and tracks changes to data and prepares information for reporting purposes.

The system’s key functions and features are as follows:

• Data recording
• Processing of changes to data.
• Serving of processing systems

• Real-time communication with related systems
• Flexible and configurable modules to meet a wide range of user requirements and to support the introduction of new products
• Suitable for integration with other internal and external applications

The OPEN Standing Data system performs standard data record-keeping, thus serving the processing systems to which it is connected, and tracks changes to data and prepares information for data reporting.

The standing data recording system provides the opportunity for manual data entry or data entry via a standardised interface, as well as the maintenance, change-tracking, querying and listing of data.

The system handles data from the Central Counterparty Database.

The standing-data record-keeping function covers the following areas:

• Counterparty accounts database, which also performs the data record-keeping functions underlying the securities account management function
• Securities database, with the recording of debt and ownership securities
• Settlement calendar, which controls the daily operation of the processing systems, daily opening hours and operating times
• Booking records, which form the basis for G/L posting
• Transaction standing database, for the processing of standardised transactions
• Databases for miscellaneous data
• RTGS operation-time database, which controls the operation time of the RTGS systems

The Standing Data system connects to other internal and external systems via a standardised interface.

The system also connects to the various OPEN processing systems.

The Standing Data application is a modular system with a client-server architecture and a user-friendly graphical interface, and can be flexibly developed to suit a wide range of user requirements.

The protection of the systems in terms of access and authorisation is ensured on multiple levels, partly by leveraging the opportunities offered by the applied technologies and partly by utilising the supplied application-level protection devices.
