ISIN-Issuing and Central Product Management

The ISIN-Issuing and Central Product Management system (IS-INFO) performs the centralised recording of securities, derivatives and other money market instruments, and generates the ISIN codes necessary for these products to be traded in the market.

The system’s key functions and features are as follows:

The primary function of the ISIN-Issuing and Central Product Management system is to record, handle and query data related to securities series, and to issue ISIN (International Securities Identification Numbers) and CFI (Classification of Financial Instruments) codes, based on the standing data of the various securities series.

The recording of the standing data of products created within the system makes it possible to enter products other than securities into the IS-INFO system, with the result that ISIN codes can be issued for new types of products without the need to develop special software for this purpose.

The ISIN-Issuing and Central Product Management system is a modular system with a client-server architecture and a user-friendly graphical interface, and can be flexibly developed to suit a wide range of user requirements.

The protection of the systems in terms of access and authorisation is ensured on multiple levels, partly by leveraging the opportunities offered by the applied technologies and partly by utilising the supplied application-level protection devices.
